We've just had a few days in North Yorkshire and taken some lovely photos. This one really captured my imagination. I wonder which of the swallows will make it across the miles?
I used a sponge for the dappled sky, white paint splodges for the birds' body and tried for calligraphy type marks for the wings and tails. I just wanted the feel of imminent departure and fragility. I'm quite pleased with this.
